Best Practices for Natural Object Removal

✅ Always work on a duplicate layer – Keep the original safe.
✅ Zoom in & out regularly – Check how the edit looks from different perspectives.
✅ Use different tools for different objects – Sometimes, combining multiple methods works best.
✅ Adjust brush hardness & opacity – Softer brushes blend edits better.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

🚫 Overusing Content-Aware Fill – It doesn’t always get textures right.
🚫 Not selecting the right reference area for the Clone Stamp Tool – Avoid weird pattern repetitions.
🚫 Forgetting to fix lighting & shadows – Makes edits look unnatural.
🚫 Not refining edges properly – Can leave visible outlines or blurry patches.

When to Use Each Object Removal Tool?

Tool Best For Pros Cons
Spot Healing Brush Small blemishes, dust, power lines Quick & automatic Can leave smudges
Content-Aware Fill Medium-sized objects, cars, signs AI-powered, easy to use May not work well on patterns
Clone Stamp Tool Complex backgrounds, fine details Gives full control Requires manual effort
Patch Tool Large and irregular objects Great for blending textures Needs manual adjustment
